Well, I guess there are quite a few better recordings of this materpice around than this one. O.k. still four seasons

The recording IS pretty bad, but it's wonderful classic music, and certainly several steps above the stuff on here by Loreena M.

I have to disagree. While I love Vivaldi, and I have heard better recordings of The Four Seasons, I also love the Loreena McKennitt music, and I think it is as every bit as good as most pieces played here, and in some cases a darn sight better. I'd like to hear MORE of LM's music, actually.

I agree. Despite not being strictly under the category "classical music", LM has given us some really wonderful pieces of music to listen to.

Sorry but I also disagree. Loreena is up there with Enya as not only a wonderful voice and lyricist but the great abilities of a sophisticated composer to have music that is enjoyable even without the voices (something you could never say about teeny bopper Britney Spears or even Mariah Carey. However, their music is more new age is really belongs on another channel as it is clearly not classical unlike comptemporaries like Arvo Part, John Williams or Phil Glass.

I once wrote a story in which the Four Seasons was refered to as the signature tune of up-scale elevator music. I agree it's marvelous, but enough already! - Peregoth

But it can be classed as "elevator music" precisely because it is so wonderful! Mainstream classics aren't mainstream for no reason!

I prefer Karajan's performing 4 seasons.. or Vanessa Mae with her nice variations , aside that i love this music.
