Really enjoying this first listen to Llewellyn's Faery tune.
Exciting and mysterious in sections. Harps, Celtic, gypsy-blends........ Cool ![]() |

a spacier than ussual sound for Llewellyn. the violin esp. caught my attention (just one of many sounds), sounded like Catherine Lara. title is very descriptive of the piece's mood. very good IMO.

the violin (& most of the instruments) apparantly is played by Llewellyn. album notes (on website) state that Julliani and Medwynn Goodall (guitar) also took part in the albums making.

Highly imaginative - which I like.
Very expressive - which I admire. ...and then executed with real energy, skill and panache. All in all a remarkable achievement. |

I found this to be a very odd little disjointed tune. I believe in faeries, but I'm not sure they'd like this. I can't decide if it made me feel like I was at a carnival or a circus, or both!
Anyway, the end result is I didn't like this at all. ![]() |

Yes... Spooky, whimsical, playful... the flute and harp(?) flitters around like winged fairies... the base line guitar dances like saytars (spelling?) around a fairy ring... I like it.

mysterious music.
I bet it should be played in some circus! Reminded me the movie 'The city of lost children'. |

As others have stated, there is an edge of mystery to this, as there should be if it is the Kingdom of the Faery.
Lets not forget in our internal images that the Fae are not all good. There is an element of trickery in their very being. Hiding away from Humanity, flitting in and out. Thought to be anything from angels who were caught outside heaven when the gates were locked, to the spirits of the dead, to demons come up from hell to play and taunt us, faery folk are some of the least understood mythological creatures. |
