Red face Post Your Suggestions And Favourite 80s Tracks Here

<ADMIN>
Thanks for starting this thread. I've moved it over to the 80's Playlist thread and made it a sticky.
</ADMIN>

I noticed the abscense of an 80s request thread here... so I hope it's ok if I start one.

I have a few here for starters:

Peter Gabriel -- "Big Time" [1986]

Wall of Voodoo -- "Mexican Radio" [1982]

Bruce Hornsby -- "The Valley Road" [1986]

Sting -- "Fortress Around Your Heart" [1985]

Rick Astley -- "Together Forever" [1987]

Styx -- "Mr. Roboto" [1983]

The Police -- "Don't Stand So Close To Me" [1980]
* These two are on the 70s station for some reason...
The Police -- "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" [1981]
The Police -- "Every Breath You Take" [1983]

A Flock Of Seagulls -- "I Ran (So Far Away)" [1982]
A Flock Of Seagulls -- "Space Age Love Song" [1982]

Pet Shop Boys -- "Always On My Mind" [1988]
Pet Shop Boys -- "West End Girls" [1986]
Pet Shop Boys -- "It's A Sin" [1987]

The Beach Boys -- "Kokomo" [1988]

I'll post some more, but these were a few that came to mind.

Hope you guys will consider these... thank you, sky.fm rocks

The channel is BEST of the 80s... not every one of these songs would be considered a hit (if you look at the charts) Relax, It's My Life, and Oh Yeah would probably be considerations.

Have I suggested?

Peter Gabriel -- "Shock the Monkey" (1982)

Phil Collins -- "Sussudio" (1985)
Phil Collins -- "Don't Lose My Number" (1985)
(I'm sure there may be some objections... )

Loverboy -- "Working For the Weekend" (1981)

BTW, when is anything new going to be added to the playlist?

I would't mind hearing songs by Staus Quo,

some of Pet Shop Boys as well especially It's a Sin and Go West.

Also some more A-Ha wouldn't go amiss.

Bon Jovi wouldn't go amiss

Cornal Abraham - Trapped

Going loco in alcopolco (Can't remeber the artist I'm afraid)

London Boys - 'Requiem for Love' and 'Harlem Desire'

Scorpions particlarly 'Heros don't cry' 'Soul behind the face' and 'Still loving you'

Frankie Goes to Hollywood 'relax' and 'The power of love'

War of the worlds remix

Nick Kershaw - The riddle

Mr. Mister - Kyrie

REM

Wierd Al Yankovich

Question

Does anyone from the station actually read this thread? Or is it just wishful thinking on our part!

Cool Madness

We don't get enough of their stuff here in the states - just 'Our House' - which I love! HOWEVER...I do like the following:

'House of Fun'
'It Must Be Love'
'Baggy Trousers'
'Driving In My Car'
'One Step Beyond'

It may be difficult to find these - but I'd love you forever and ever if you can find just one.

Happy Madness Hunting!
The Mighty Miss M
Be the remedy - think "butterfly effect"!

Love the Starship going now! I'm thinking the movie 'Mannequin'...
