This song's got a creepy tone to it, but it's still quite good

it's definitely creepy. when it came out, it was played to death (and its remakes are crap), but now it sounds amazing - and so fresh!

I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Hold on
I've been waiting for this moment, all my life, Hold on
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, Hold on, Hold on

Well, if you told me you were drowning
I would not lend a hand
I've seen your face before my friend
But I don't know if you know who I am
Well, I was there and I saw what you did
I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off the grin, I know where you've been
It's all been a pack of lies

And I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Hold on
I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, Hold on
I can feel it in the air tonight, Hold on,Hold on
And I've been waiting for this moment all my life, Hold on, Holdon

Well I remember, I remember don't worry
How could I ever forget, it's the first time, the last time that we ever met
But I know the reason why you keep your silence up, no you don't fool me
The hurt doesn't show; but the pain still grows
It's no stranger to you or me

It reminds me on another '80's original: Miami vice.
Good times.
Great song.

Cool

Why does Collins get top billing, I always thought this was a Genesis tune Ernie Adams, Tony Banks & Mike Rutherford deserve a little credit here too!

Seriously. I can't help but think of sonny and tubs blasting up the night streets of miami in that wanna-be Ferrari. Probably the coolest thing I ever saw on TV. period.

Thumbs up An Evergreen!

I hear this Song in the Radio 1981, just at the Day, when the Album "Face Value" was released. An hour later I was the Owner of one of the first Vinyls - and I still keep it! IMO one of the best Songs by Phil Collins and the 80´s at all, an Evergreen to me!
