Default A good sort of so-so

The recording IS pretty bad, but it's wonderful classic music, and certainly several steps above the stuff on here by Loreena M.

I have to disagree. While I love Vivaldi, and I have heard better recordings of The Four Seasons, I also love the Loreena McKennitt music, and I think it is as every bit as good as most pieces played here, and in some cases a darn sight better. I'd like to hear MORE of LM's music, actually.

Default Enough

I once wrote a story in which the Four Seasons was refered to as the signature tune of up-scale elevator music. I agree it's marvelous, but enough already! - Peregoth

It doesn't matter who play this Master Piece Work. The Four seasons are still beautiful by itself!

I prefer Karajan's performing 4 seasons.. or Vanessa Mae with her nice variations , aside that i love this music.

I think most people who consider the 4 seasons as 'elevator music' have only listened to spring. I love it in its entirety and I'll take it anyway I can get it!!

Yes, I agree, "Le Quattro Stagioni" del prete rosso Vivaldi should deserve a better recording.

But it can be classed as "elevator music" precisely because it is so wonderful! Mainstream classics aren't mainstream for no reason!

It's the only true masterpiece that understands how to translate the never-ending circle of life into music that touches our deepest existense. It's as beautiful as life it self....
