And I'm sure you mean this in a purely instrumental way.

Just messin' with ya SmoothNewz.

And yes, it is past my bedtime. Gotta put the dentures in storage, and then it's nightnight time.

Good night to all smooth Jazz lovers around the globe. And y'all know who you are.

I love Candy Dulfer's tune called ~~Lily Was Here~~.
I heard it first time on a local radio but haven't heard on SKY.FM yet.

I know you were...just ribbin' ya back! Sweet smooth dreams and I'll talk to ya soon!

As for you, Smoojie, "Lily Was Here" is a really old song of hers. Haven't heard it in a while...I'm loving this song that Jimi's playing with her dad tho...it's really powerful. I'd love to see her live...and am hoping to one of these days.

Thanks for letting me know about staleness of "Lily was here". I didn't know that. I haven't got much time to research the artists.

Good to know there is one (Smoothnewz) who can enlighten us.

have a great evening, Smoothnewz

'Lily was here' was the title track to an obscure early '90s foreign film. the score was by Dave Stewart. that track (also a favorite of mine) was a duet tween Stewart and Candi. here is the listing on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=glance&n=5174
for a while this track was played on the New Age channel, but, Tammy pulled it. maybe we can get Jimi to add it here. here is the link to the new age thread: http://forums.sky.fm/showthread.php?...highlight=lily

The reason it's not here is because I too thought it had got a little stale now. A bit like Kenny G "Songbird".

i heard jimi play indian vibes a few weeks ago, and loved the track , searched through www.amazon.com and purchased the album brand new for £2 .68 . a absolute bargain.arrived within 2 days. The album was first released in 2002. The Dave stewart / Candi Dulfer soundtrack album lily was here, when i brought it when the film was released is a dog,so much so i took it back and got me money back, and settled for the amazing 4 track versions of the song.

Hey, Mookie! Feelin' fine...but missed you too...

The world would be quieter, that's for sure... Gotta have 'em around, what else would we chat about? Talking about music and shoes only goes so far...KIDDING, guys! Don't start writing in, now...

Thanks Smoojie, for the compliment. I try to keep up on all the SJ, but there's sooooooooo much out there!!! I don't think 'Lily Was Here' is 'stale'...but it set the pace for what was to come from Candy Dulfer...great, powerful playing and sultry sax!

I think we could live with an occasional 'blast from the past' of a great old tune...not everyone's hip to all the stuff that's out there...or has been out there...and hey, the newbies would probably get a kick outta hearing stuff we've heard before...what's the line? "Everything old is new again..."

This is a great song. Very good sax playing as well. I read in an earlier post that the sax player is a female. I'm not sure why that would suprise me except I guess I thought only men played the sax. What do I know? She is very talented.

Pamela Williams, who gets a lot of playtime here, is my favorite female sax player.

You might be confused because of the way this is listed. Hans is Candy's dad, another accomplished saxophonist in his own right. But no, playing sax is not solely a men's instrument. As Mookie had mentioned, Pamela Williams and Candy Dulfer are two very incredible sax players...but there are other sax players as well...Mindi Abair also comes to mind, too...

Aren't you glad SKY's around to expand your horizons, Scotter? Glad to have YOU around too!

Well, there she is! I am so glad to see you peeking around here. The sun is out now! Hope you're having a good day, but apparently it is a busy day, eh?

Bizzy ain't the half of it...zoomin' at warp speed today; this is my second chance to even check to see what I've missed...LOTS, apparently!

But it's nice to see that someone has kept the home fires burnin'....

Perfect timing for this song....it has been one rough day, and I only just now sat down and turned on the music. Indian Vibes is soothing and sultry. A great ending to my day.
