Hmmm. To be honest, it became an instant station-flipper for me...what did you like about it? For one, I never thought Jacks had a pleasant voice!

no accounting for different tastes... I learned long ago not to question another's music likes/dislikes. its true that you can't please everyone. I enjoyed his vocals.
[edit] can't say that I know a lot about the rest of his work.

Of course, but this is, after all, a forum and that means an exchange of ideas, no? That said, I'm now curious about the rest of Jacks' musical inventory, and will go look for it. I guess it's obvious: I have a lot of time on my hands. (shrug)

Hi Folks! Don't usually visit the "oldies" station but since I am one myself, thought I would add my two cents. LaBonBon's musical review in two letters: P U
Sorry. I just always hated this song. ![]() I will give him credit. He was not a one-hit wonder. He had another one called If You Go Away. I used to holler back at the radio: Please do!!!! Yuck! Yuck! Back "home" for me to the smooth jazz channel. Toodles! |

Perhaps Mike could hear something in this track that instinctively appealed to him and were as of yet unknown to me: the keyboards were played by David Lanz!
Well done, marensman! ![]() Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Lanz |

Jacks' version was a poor interpretation of a fine song by Rod McKeun - he even changed parts of the melody.
Shouldn't be allowed! ![]() |
